I get so wrapped up in the wedding day itself, or the bride and groom I completely forget to slow down and create some beautiful, one shot content! Maybe it’s like Eliza Dushku said from the late, great Bring it On, “if you don’t have it yet, you don’t have it.”

In reality this bride didn’t even know I was recording but WTF Ari 🤣 I guess it truly was the prime spot to see his first reaction during their first look.

Today is my last Wedding of the 2025 season. I am a little emotional about it because this year really transformed me as an artist and I am so grateful for it. As sad as I am to finish this wedding season, I couldn’t have picked a better couple or wedding to end it with!!!

Thank you to all my beautiful Bride and Grooms who made 2025 what it was. I appreciate you for choosing me to capture one of the biggest days in your lives.

Here’s to 2026!!! Big Weddings, Big Travel and even Bigger Growth. I can’t wait to see where photography takes me next year. I love you ALL!

Yesterday I got to photograph the sweetest proposal in San Fran San Francisco. I wanted to take you along with me but of course got to wrapped up in capturing the moment and didn’t record ANYTHING part of the actual proposal.

For the longest time I would try to produce photos I thought people would like. I would try and emulate what I would see online or in friend’s houses. Sometimes I would take jobs where a client would say, “I love your photography, but we’re looking for something a little different. More cool toned or brighter photos, can you edit your photos like that?” And I would immediately say “Yes! Of course!” Anything not to lose the job. And for all those years I could tell that something was “off”. My work wasn’t standing out or unique. I was never like, “damn I did that.”.

It takes time to find your style and lean fully into it, especially knowing you may lose clients because of it. And sometimes it takes even longer to find your voice. The voice inside that calms you when a client doesn’t book. The little voice that feels like a small hug and says, “It’s okay, that was wasn’t your ideal client. Keep going. Stay true to YOUR art.” Over the last year I’ve really leaned on that voice. I’ve listened to her and said no to jobs that didn’t align with my work, even when I really needed the money. At first it was scary but everything I had dreamt of as an artist started becoming my reality. I finally felt like I was presenting myself the way I wanted and people were booking me because of it because of my unique style and artistry.

Sometimes, extremely talented people never find that voice and continue chasing something that doesn’t truly feel like them. I know because I did it for a long time too. To those people I would say, “Slow down, write out what you want, what you want your art to feel like and who your ideal client is, and never negotiate your worth just to keep a client from choosing someone else.
